About Our Team

Tough Grout is a Veteran owned family business, owned by William Jipson and operated by Bill and his son, David.

Bill Jipson, Owner

A veteran of the United States Army and a Scarborough police officer for 25 years, Bill Jipson is no stranger to hard work. After retiring, he learned the home improvement trade himself, starting with a business in grout color sealing.

As Tough Grout evolved, Bill soon learned that homeowners need help with overall grout restoration services. But throughout the years, his motto has always remained the same: the job has to be done right.

And, in true entrepreneurial spirit, Bill also owns and operates a local apartment building and motel.

David Jipson

David is now a second-generation entrepreneur. At the young age of 13, he started working in the Tough Grout family business and hasn’t stopped since. Though you’ll notice he’s young the moment he walks through the door, you won’t find a harder worker or one who takes great pride in his accomplishments.

David is also highly active and athletic; he was a football star and cheerleader in high school. He’s enthusiastic about the work and will undoubtedly make your home a better place.
